Community Guidelines
Effective 3 September 2026
Komvia is a public service with private member conversations. These expectations apply to every member and contribution.
Meet the person who is here now
Speak to people as people. Disagreement is welcome; humiliation, intimidation, persistent unwanted contact, and targeted harassment are not.
Carry context with care
Do not publish someone’s private or identifying information without permission. Do not exploit vulnerability, impersonate another person, or move sensitive conversations elsewhere to expose or shame participants.
Keep people safe
Komvia does not permit credible threats, hateful attacks, sexual exploitation, encouragement of self-harm, illegal content, scams, spam, malware, or attempts to bypass account and community safeguards.
Use the safety tools
Report a contribution when it needs review. Mute when you need distance without notifying the other person. Block when you need to prevent further interaction. Reports are private and do not create public scores.
What moderation may do
The Komvia team may review reports, restrict access, preserve limited evidence, or remove material where necessary. Decisions should be recorded with a rationale and reviewed proportionately. Contact the owner to raise an appeal.
Spam, repeated promotion, racist or hateful abuse, targeted harassment, threats, and explicit sexual content are not allowed. Automated checks may block obvious repetition or hold uncertain material out of member view for human review. They are safeguards, not perfect judgements, and uncertain cases are not treated as grounds for automatic permanent account deletion.
Urgent situations
Komvia is not an emergency service. If someone faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first, then report the relevant contribution in Komvia so the launch team can preserve and review it.
